Jefferson Elementary School fifth-graders learn about Colonial times

On Friday, March 18 2005, Mrs. Nancy Taylor's fifth-grade class presented a walk-through tour of Colonial times for other classes at the school. The tour included a glimpse of six different aspects of life in Colonial Williamsburg: the governor's palace, a shoemaker's shop and the Raleigh Tavern; a church, William & Mary College, and slave quarters.

The students created their own costumes and brought in props from home, such as wooden bowls. Colonial food was also on display.
