What makes you excel at what you do?
There are two primary reasons why I excel at what I do.  I love what I do and I have a passion for it.  I constantly strive to balance, balance, balance my nursing career and my family life.  I use the mantra, “Let it go!” It helps!

Was there ever a time that you considered a career other than nursing?
I have not considered another career; however, that is the beauty of nursing.  I have been able to be a teacher, a clinician and an administrator as a nurse.  In my future life I would aspire to be a comedian or a party planner!

What is your favorite childhood story?
I have a tremendous amount of wonderful childhood memories.  My parents were always dedicated to making events and celebrations of highest priority.  Vacations were always special.  I remember when I was 6 years old and we went to Florida.  We attended a Miss USA parade.  When Miss Georgia came by, she came off her float (a peach), she came over to me and kissed me on my cheek.  I felt so special.
