Enjoy a Taste of China, Tuesday, April 7

Miami Hamilton students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to enjoy an afternoon and evening immersed in Chinese culture and tradition on Tuesday, April 7.
Beginning at 3 PM, guests from China will
showcase Chinese Martial
Arts (gongfu), Chinese
handicrafts, and traditional
Chinese instruments. The event takes place at
Schwarm Hall's outdoor patio area
(rain location inside Schwarm Hall). Light refreshments will be served.
At 6 PM, the evening begins with a brief lecture and explanation of the Chinese Arts, followed by dinner. A musical performance showcasing the Chinese instruments guzheng and erhu will conclude the evening.
The guzheng is an ancient Chinese stringed instrument, and the erhu is a Chinese two-stringed bowed instrument, known as a “Chinese violin.”
All events are free and open to the public.
China Week at Miami University (April 6-10, 2009), is presented by The Confucius Institute at Miami University & Liaoning Normal University, Dalian, China.
