Comedian Larry Wilmore to deliver Racial Legacies keynote Feb. 19

Larry Wilmore, who in his day job is the “Senior Black Correspondent” on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will be the keynote speaker at the Racial Legacies & Learning town meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 19, in Parrish Auditorium.
A comedian, satirist and producer, Wilmore’s topic is Let’s Not Take Diversity Too Seriously: Just Kidding.
Wilmore began his career as an actor and stand-up comic before transitioning to television writing and producing in the early 90s. He created The Bernie Mac Show starring the late Bernie Mac, and co-created the animated show PJs with actor and comic Eddie Murphy.
Wilmore also has written for shows such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Jamie Foxx Show, and most recently served as consulting producer for The Office, currently a highly-rated weekly television series.
