January 13, 2009
The Harrier men’s basketball team continues to ride a hot streak in 2009 after picking up two big wins over the weekend.
Miami Hamilton defeated OSU-Newark 85-71 on Friday night in the Box that Rocks, following that up with a 76-69 overtime win on the road Saturday at OU-Chillicothe.
Vince Cook and Shawn Alexander each scored 20 points against OSU-Newark, which came to town armed with a 15-1 record. Cook poured in another 28 points Saturday to lead the Harriers’ offensive attack in that conference game.
The team continues to play well offensively and defensively under first-year head coach Mel Levitt, the former University of Cincinnati standout.
The Harriers next home game is 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21. Grab a seat in the bleachers and support the home team!
