Congratulations Sarah Miller!
Sarah Miller, student of Fine Arts at Miami Hamilton, has been chosen by the Campus Activities Council as this year's author of the most outstanding essay for "Miami University's 2009 Family Member of the Year."
Sarah's essay is about her grandfather, Johnny Fryman, and the positive influence he has had on her life. In addition to hosting Mr. Fyman at the Simpson Shade Guest House, next door to President Hodge's residence, Sarah, her grandfather and family will have a special table at the Tailgate Town Tent before the big Miami/UC game this Saturday.
During halftime, there will be a special ceremony for her grandfather and Dr. Barb Jones, VP of Student Affairs, will bpresent him with the award. On Sunday, Sarah and her family will be President Hodge's special guests at the annual President's Brunch.
We all are so proud of Sarah and so thankful that she was inspired by her grandfather to attend college because she truly represents the best and the brightest of our Hamilton student body.
