Service as Central workshops continue April 23-24

The final installments of the Service as Central Speaking Series will take place April 23 in Oxford and April 24 on the regional campuses. These speaking/workshop programs are designed to develop criteria for tenure and promotion with service as second. They are sponsored by the Office of Liberal Education & Assessment and Miami Hamilton’s Center for Civic Engagement.
Here’s what’s coming up:
• Join the conversation with guest facilitator Dr. Amy Driscoll, who will present “Evaluation and Documentation of Engagement “ for two sessions on Friday, April 24; 9-11 a.m. in the Wilks Conference Center at Miami Hamilton, and 2-4 p.m. in 117 Johnston Hall at Miami Middletown. Driscoll is currently a Consulting Scholar with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching after retiring as Director of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment at California State University-Monterey Bay.
• Assessment Workshop: “Using Learning Outcomes and Assessment to Plan Pedagogy and Course Curriculum,” noon-2 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in Shriver Center’s Multipurpose Room A. Contact assessment@muohio.edu for more information. This workshop will be followed by:
• “Document Service for Promotion and Tenure,” 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in 204 Benton Hall.
