Racial Legacies program welcomes Representative Bakari T. Sellers

Bakari T. SellersRacial Legacies & Learning XX: How to Talk About Race presents the youngest member ever elected to the South Carolina legislature, 24-year-old Representative Bakari T. Sellers, as the keynote speaker at three events in our community on Thursday, October 9.

Event 1
Harry T. Wilks Conference Center, 8:30-9:30 AM

Miami Hamilton students have the opportunity to meet Rep. Sellers at a free breakfast on the Miami Hamilton campus.

Event 2
Miami Hamilton Downtown 221 High St., noon-1:00 PM

Racial Legacies & Learning XX: How To Talk About Race. An Informal Discussion with Rep, Sellers on "The Power of Civic Engagement." Free and open to the public. Light refreshments available.

Event 3
Hamilton High School, 1:30-3:00 PM

Racial Legacies & Learning XX: How to Talk About Race town meeting. Rep. Sellers is the keynote speaker at this event. Free and open to the public.

Racial Legacies & Learning town meetings take place twice per year, one during each semester.
