May 22, 2008
Miami University Hamilton defeated University of Cincinnati-Clermont 14-4 Wednesday night at Foundation field in the championship game of the Ohio Regional Campus Conference (ORCC) baseball tournament.
“This is the eighth conference championship in nine years under the leadership of head coach Darrel Grissom. The baseball program at Miami Hamilton continues to be a source of great pride for our campus, and we are immensely proud of Darrel’s 2008 squad,” said Dr. Bob Rusbosin, Associate Dean and Director of Student Services.
Winning pitcher Hobie Bolton received plenty of offensive support. Joe Sullivan and Damien Hannah each went 2-for-3 and cracked home runs. Sullivan finished with five RBIs. Also leading the hit parade were Steve Adams, Bryan Fusco, Adam Farwick, and Anson Hall.
The Harriers finished the season with a 35-10 record.
Congratulations to the Harriers, the 2008 ORCC champions!
