Fire Alarm Testing in Wilks and Schwarm on Thursday, June 21
June 20, 2007
On June 21, beginning at 8:00 AM, the fire alarm system in The Harry T. Wilks Conference Center and Schwarm Hall will be tested. Testing must be done in the presence of a State Fire Marshall, which prevents testing while the campus is closed. Testing will last between two and four hours.
It is possible that the strobe units can be tested in a “silent” mode and that no one will be disturbed or interrupted. However, if the strobe unit does sound, it will be in 5 to 10 second intervals, and will be loud.
The fire doors above the arch on the second floor of Wilks/Schwarm will be closed but will remain operable. Physical Facilities apologizes for any inconvenience testing may cause.
