Appalachian Reflections Community Forum Nov. 5
October 26, 2007
Appalachian Heritage Month at Miami Hamilton culminates with the Appalachian Reflections Community Forum at 7:30 p.m. Mon., Nov. 5, in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center.
Retired JournalNews columnist and community favorite Ercel Eaton will moderate this rollicking presentation of short stories and tall tales contributed by O’Tuck panelists Jeweldene Baker, Clay Calihan and Orville Lunsford. Members of the audience are encouraged to add their own thoughts and memories to this lively, warm-hearted, and open discussion as you laugh, remember, and cherish the rich legacy of Appalachia so many of us share.
Enjoy music and “down home” refreshments following the forum.
Musical guest Calamity Rain will perform before and after the forum, beginning at approximately 7 p.m. and immediatley following the main event.
An authentic Appalachian quilt exhibit will be on display in the Wilks’ Atirum during the program.
