Barb Holland (photo, far right), Community Involvement Coordinator for Sam’s Club, presents a $1,000 check to Miami University Hamilton representatives. Earmarked for at-risk students, the money will be used to update software and other materials for learning strategy workshops.

Pictured with Holland, from left to right, are Pete Haverkos, Director of Learning Assistance; Janet Valente, Writing Specialist; Theresa Troutman, Program Associate, and Dr. Lee Sanders, Senior Associate Dean.
“We appreciate this generous donation from Sam’s Club. A big part of our mission is educational accessibility. This gift provides a boost to our Learning Assistance office, which supports and facilitates student success,” Dr. Sanders said.
