Exclusive media preview to kick
off IceFest
January
5, 2005
Temperatures
may be hovering just above freezing, but things are
going to get icy when Miami University Hamilton hosts
an exclusive IceFest preview Wednesday, Jan. 11.
In conjunction with Hamilton’s City of Sculpture,
Miami Hamilton kicks off IceFest 2006 with a media
event beginning at 10am in The Conservatory. Area
news teams can get a glimpse of upcoming events for
IceFest 2006, which is scheduled for the weekend of
January 20 in downtown Hamilton.
While plants in The
Conservatory enjoy balmy temperatures, Olympic
ice carver Jeff Stahl of Artic Diamond, Inc., prefers
much cooler surroundings. He will be outside creating
a sculpture on the grounds of Miami Hamilton. Stahl
and his fellow team member, Matt Williams, will be
competing in the Ice Carving Competition during the
festival weekend.
Artic Diamond is a premier ice sculpting company in
Ohio responsible for the ice sculptures on display
during IceFest. For more information on IceFest 2006,
