Harrier
mascot gets ice treatment
January
11, 2005
Miami
Hamilton's mascot, the Harrier, received a special
ice treatment as part of an exclusive IceFest media
preview hosted Jan. 11 at the campus.
In conjunction with Hamilton’s City of Sculpture,
Miami Hamilton kicked off IceFest 2006 with a news
conference inside The Conservatory. Area news teams
learned of upcoming events for IceFest 2006, which
is scheduled for the weekend of January 20 in downtown
Hamilton.
While plants in The
Conservatory enjoyed balmy temperatures, Olympic
ice carver Jeff Stahl of Artic Diamond, Inc., and
his partner, Matt Williams, preferred the colder temperatures
outside as they created sculptures of the Harrier
and the Miami Hamilton logo.
Stahl
and Williams will be competing in the Ice Carving
Competition during the festival weekend.
Artic Diamond is a premier ice sculpting company in
Ohio responsible for the ice sculptures on display
during IceFest. For more information on IceFest 2006,
