Office of Student Services sponsors Adopt-a-Family holiday program
December 1, 2006
For the 20th year, Miami Hamilton’s Office of Student Services is sponsoring the Adopt-a-Family program which provides support to local families in need this holiday season.
The campus has established a tradition of generosity and caring that echoes throughout the community this time of year, according to Mary Bausano, Assistant Director of Student Services, and Administrative Assistant Carol Stubblefield.
This year, Miami Hamilton is helping several families which have been referred to the campus by Hamilton City School District counselors and Butler County social service agency representatives.
Look for the holiday trees in Mosler, Rentschler and University halls decorated with tags indicating wished-for items. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to pluck a tag off of a tree, purchase the gift and bring it wrapped or unwrapped (preferably wrapped) to the Office of Student Services, 130 Rentschler Hall.
If you don’t have time to shop, cash donations are gladly accepted and Student Services personnel will do the shopping for you, according to Bausano.
For more information contact Bausano or Stubblefield, who wish to thank the campus community in advance for continuing to support the Adopt-a-Family program.
