Hundreds of wrapped presents are being delivered to needy families this week, thanks to the generosity of Miami Hamilton faculty, staff and students who participated in the Adopt-a-Family holiday program for the 20th year in a row.
The campus sponsored dozens of children in six families referred by Butler County Children’s Services, the United Way’s Support to Encourage Low-Income Families (SELF), and area school guidance counselors.
“They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, it takes a campus to adopt a family,” said Carol Stubblefield, Administrative Assistant for the Office of Student Services.
“Our participating faculty, staff and students have no idea what an impact they make on these families. The impact is enormous,” Stubblefield said. |
