Miami Hamilton student athletes named to Academic All-Conference team

Eighteen MUH student athletes have been named to the ORCC Academic All-Conference team for the Spring 2006 season, according to Athletic Director Vince Richardson.
Fast-pitch softball honors went to Malinda Grindle (Fairfield), Andrea McGlothin (Lakota West), Lauren Lehmkuhl (Talawanda), Kimberly Lange (Edgewood), Jennifer Meier (Lakota West) and Courtney Rubio (home schooled).
Baseball honors went to Brad Wilder (Lakota East), Adam Farwick (Princeton) and Geoff Carter (Clermont Northeastern).
Women’s tennis honors went to Katie Weisbecker (Ross), Lauren Barker (Northwest), Bethany Grimm (Harrison) and Jessica Burke (McAuley).
Men’s tennis honors went to Phillip Force (Fairfield), Jordan Ishtaywi (Fairfield) and Donald Ngalla of Cameroon, Africa.
Basketball honors went to Mason Huston (Hamilton Christian), while golf honors went to Joshua Reece (Edgewood).
Richardson said MUH athletics is all about the sport of learning.
“Active minds and active bodies provide for balanced, healthy individuals. Participation in team sports cultivates perseverance through cooperation, the same way teamwork fosters success in the workplace,” Richardson said.
