September 27, 2006
Leo Anchondo, the national director of the Justice for Immigrants campaign for the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops, will speak at 7 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 5, in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center.
Anchondo will discuss the most current information regarding immigration legislation and reform initiatives, and how leaders throughout the U.S. are working toward positive solutions that accommodate all members of their communities. The event is free and open to the public.
Anchondo will be available to visit classrooms that day to discuss immigration reform and the Latino community. This is a unique opportunity to talk with someone on the front line who works with immigrants throughout the U.S.
