Math professor knows the importance of adding up canned food

Dave Sobecki, Math, is worried. His annual end-of-the-year food drive is off to a slow start. He wants to speed things up a bit.

Last year, the associate professor of math collected more than 946 pounds of food for the Open Door Food Pantry in Hamilton. He wants to beat that record. To do that, he needs the help of the campus community. “I encourage instructors to ask their students to bring in non-perishable canned food items this week to class. I'll be glad to come pick them up at your convenience."
