Miami Hamilton
student Alexander Hall makes his directing and producing
film debut Monday, September 19, at 3 pm, in Room
114 Rentschler Hall kicking off the fall semester
Diversity Film Series with his original movie “From
the Midwest to Mexico.”
Hall, who received the Latin American Studies “Alejandro
Garrote” Scholarship last spring, spent the
summer working on this film in Mexico. The film is
about the transcultural experiences of his friends
from Michoacan, Mexico to Hamilton.
In addition, the following films also will be shown
this semester as part of the series, which is sponsored
by the Miami Hamilton Diversity Committee and the
Office of Multicultural Services. The films are: “Innocent
Voices,” October 10; “Real Women Have
Curves,” October 24; “Station Agent,”
November 7; and “Crash,” November 21.
All films, except for Hall’s film, will be shown
at 11:30 am in Room 114 Rentschler. They are free
and open to the public.
