| "Just being the senator
last year I took on a lot of responsibilities,"
Noe said. "I developed a really good friendship
with the president last year. If he had not
encouraged me to run for president I would not
have thought of it."
Now as president, Noe plans to keep some old
traditions and make a few changes to the organization.
"I am adding some things of my own. I am
trying to keep his traditions too, because I
liked the way that he ran the group," Noe
explained referring to Anderson. "Mainly
in the meetings I am trying to get all of the
senators and other members to be closer. I think
if we are all friends and we all get to know
each other well we are going to work better
together. At first, with the new group, everyone
didn't really know where to go or what was going
on," Noe added. "Everyone is catching
up now."
The biggest problem Noe said she faces is gaining
peoples involvement, but that does not stop
her from setting high goals. She said her main
focus this year is to have a lot more student
involvement.
"I am excited to get students involved
on campus and to get students to be excited
to be involved on campus. It's really hard on
a commuter campus. I am just trying to do things
that students are interested in. The only thing
we can really do is tell people about it and
let them decide what they want to do."
