Let's talk about race: The Arab
American & Muslim experience

The Arab American & Muslim Experience is the
topic for Racial Legacies & Learning XII: How
To Talk About Race to be held Thursday, Oct. 21 beginning
at 7p.m. in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center.
Dr. Mohammed Abu-Nimer, associate professor at the
American University School of International Service
in International Peace and Conflict Resolution will
be the keynote speaker. The town meeting is free and
open to the public.
A panel that includes speakers who are Arab Americans
and/or scholars in Islamic studies and inter-cultural
relationships will join the keynote speaker. The topic
for the evening will include conversation about the
Arab American experience in this country after 9/11
and what we can do to make a positive difference.
