Dr. Ann Rypstra, Professor of Zoology at Miami Hamilton
and Director of the Ecology Research Center for Miami
University received the Distinguished Faculty Award
from Miami's Office for the Advancement of Research
and Scholarship. This prestigious award is give to
only two faculty members each year. Dr. Rypstra specializes
in the Wolf Spider. Currently, her research includes
the effects the spider has on other insects with the
theory that these spiders may reduce the destruction
of plants from insects like the Japanese Beetle.
