Grading and Assessment expert opens fall semester

Nationally recognized grading and assessment activist
Dr. Virginia Johnson Anderson, professor of biology
at Towson University, will welcome the faculty of
Miami’s regional campuses back to school Tuesday,
August 17, during a special workshop.
The interactive faculty session will examine a variety
of successful assessment strategies for constructing
exams and assignments. In addition, to numerous publications,
over $400,000 in externally funded grants, and extensive
consulting experiences for state, federal and professional
agencies, Dr. Anderson has worked with faculty in
all disciplines to enhance teaching, learning, and
assessment at over100 colleges and universities across
the country.
The workshop will be held from 8:30am to
1:15pm at Miami Middletown
in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium. Faculty should RSVP
