Rev. Dr. Norman L. Townsel, Sr.

Pastor of the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Hamilton, Rev. Dr. Norman L. Townsel, Sr., has served the Hamilton community through proactive leadership by initiating numerous outreach programs. Always a leader in the civil rights movement, his community service awards speak for the remarkable work he has done throughout his 39 years in Hamilton. Among his awards are the City of Hamilton Distinguished Achievement, the Booker T. Washington Center Appreciation Award, and the Martin Luther King Citizen’s Award. Dr. Townsel received his Doctor of Ministry from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, a Master of Education Degree in Administration from Miami University, and a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.
