MUH Hosts Future Fair
Miami Hamilton welcomes more than 700 fifth-grade
students from various school districts in Butler County
for Future Fair 2004. The fair is a joint partnership
with Miami Hamilton and Butler Tech. Students will
participate in professional career exploration workshops
held from 9:30am to 2pm all over the campus of Miami
Hamilton. School districts involved in the fair include
Edgewood, Hamilton, Fairfield, Lakota, Middletown,
Madison, Monroe, New Miami, Talawanda and Ross. 5/12/04
Student awarded internship
Reka Juhasz, a MUH student, recently was awarded with
a summer internship to conduct research in her hometown
of Budapest. She will receive a scholarship for 12
credit hours, along with $2,500 to study city and
suburban development strategies comparing United States
with Hungary. She will be working with a faculty advisor
from Miami Oxford’s Architecture Department.
A psychology major, Reka is changing her major to
architecture and interior design. 5/10/04
Professor headlines NKU event
Dr. Robert Friedenberg (Communications) was the keynote
speaker at Northern Kentucky University’s Celebration
of Student Research and Creativity. Friedenberg dispelled
the myth that researchers should be loners. “On
the contrary, research should be done together, particularly
at the undergraduate level.” 5/10/04
