Multicultural Meet and Greet
November 15, 2004
On Wednesday, November 17, the Office of Academic
Advising and Retention and the Multicultural Resource
Center will sponsor Miami Hamilton’s second
Multicultural Meet and Greet for students who will
eventually relocate to Oxford. The event takes place
in the Multicultural Center in Rentschler Hall from
11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
This event allows three Oxford staff members—Juanita
Tate, Director of Diversity Initiatives; Ros Mason,
Student Retention Specialist and Academic Adviser
for the College of Arts and Sciences and Monica-Lindsey
Johnson, Learning Specialist Coordinator for the Scholastic
Enhancement Program—to interact with our students
in their space, the Hamilton Campus. They use this
opportunity to discuss academic, social and cultural
resources in Oxford including some of the mentoring
programs and the Center for Black Culture and Learning.
Free pizza is provided to all in attendance.
This event is not limited to students of any particular
ethnicity—nor does a student need to be relocating
this year in order to attend.
