Professor honored

Dr. Mark Christian, associate professor of sociology and black world studies, was honored during the 16th Annual Cheikh Anta Diop International Conference Summary: Classical Africa: Foundations for Postmodern and Post Western Renewal. Dr. Christian, along with three other professors, were commended for their work in the field of African American Studies.

The conference attracted more than 200 people from several nations and featured scholars from the United Kingdom, Portugal, France, Guadeloupe, Japan, Martinique, Belize, Nigeria, Ghana, Canada, Togo and the United States. The conference was held in Philadelphia.
