share views
April 19, 2004
Miami University Hamilton's Student Government Association
invites the community to an open discussion about
the conflict in Iraq Thursday, April 29, from 4:00
p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Harry T. Wilks Conference
Center, Room 200.
According to Arjuna Anderson, SGA president, "This
special program is an opportunity for the campus community
and the general public to discuss various feelings
and issues that individuals may have as a result of
the war in Iraq, terrorism, and of the politics of
our current administration.
"People are encouraged to come together to share,
to explain, and to educate others about their personal
perspectives related to politics, terrorism, and the
conflict in Iraq. We encourage different views to
be heard."
Dr. John Cinnamon, assistant professor of anthropology,
will serve as moderator. Panelists will include Dr.
Laura Neack, Paul Rejai Professor of Political Science;
Dr. Mark Peterson, assistant professor of anthropology;
and Paul Allen, retired U.S. Navy Commander.
Light refreshments will be served after the discussion.
