Former Miami University Hamilton
alumnus Gordon Gillespie of Fairfield has been
named the new president of Miami University’s
Nursing Honor Society Omicron Chi, the local
chapter of the international society Sigma Theta
Tau.
Gillespie, a graduate student at the University
of Cincinnati, received his Bachelor’s
of Science in Nursing from Miami Hamilton in
2001 and is the first male president of the
local chapter.

| Inducted into Omicron Chi last
year, Gillespie is looking forward to working
with chapter members on community service projects.
The following Miami Hamilton students were
accepted into membership of Omicron Chi this
May.
Jennifer Alexander of new Carlisle, Tammy Cassidy
of Cincinnati, Andrea DeRienzo of Oxford, Grace
Evanoo of London, Charlene Rowe of Oxford, Catherine
Vonderhaar of Mason, Cathy Vance of Franklin,
Janet Wagner of Toledo, and Patricia Wirth of
WestLake.
Several community leaders were also inducted
into the chapter as members. They are are Judy
Rudokas, director of nursing at Middletown Regional
Hospital, and Jennifer Calangi of Hamilton.
