Anne Carson, nursing,
has been awarded the Ann Magnussen Award, one
of 19 American Red Cross national honors recognizing
volunteer and employee excellence. The award
is the highest honor for nursing achievement
in the American Red Cross.
Carson has been a volunteer nurse at the Cincinnati
area chapter for more than 20 years. She was
instrumental in founding the chapter's multidisciplinary
mental health team and served as its co-coordinator
for two years. She has provided support in difficult
situations, including two tours in New York
City for the World Trade Center attack in 2001.
