Wall That Heals Comes to Miami University Hamilton
March 7 , 2003

A 250-foot replica of the original Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be on the campus of Miami University Hamilton March 13 through March 16 as the Michael J. Colligan History Project continues its focus on the Vietnam Conflict.

"We anticipate that this Wall exhibit will allow people of all ages to reflect upon and connect with the important legacy of America's involvement in Vietnam," Dr. Michael Carrafiello, director of the History Project and a Miami history professor said.

 

The Wall That Heals is on its latest national tour and includes the wall replica and a display of Vietnam-era memorabilia. Visitors to the wall can find names of those who lost their lives through a specialized computer program that helps locate the section and exact panel on which the name appears. The display and computer program are FREE and open to the public. Hours of operation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. March 13 and 14 and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. March 15 and 16. An Opening Ceremony has been scheduled for Thursday, March 13, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Wall will on the campus soccer field located east of the gymnasium. Free parking is available in the main parking lot located north of the campus.
