Miami University Appoints New Executive Director of Hamilton Campus
February 21, 2003

Hall, chair of the criminal justice department at the University of Toledo, has been named executive director of the Hamilton campus following a national search. He will begin his duties in July.

"Dr. Hall is committed to ensuring that the benefits of higher education are accessible to everyone. He is sensitive to the special needs of commuter and non-traditional students and will be a strong advocate for Miami Hamilton," Provost Ronald Crutcher said.

Prior to assuming his duties at the University of Toledo, Hall was a member of the faculty at the Brevard area campus of the University of Central Florida for nine years. He served as a program coordinator and director of the honors program. His duties with the honors program were expanded to include directing the program at all University of Central Florida's area campuses. In his final year at Brevard, he was appointed associate chief executive officer of academic planning.

Hall has won several teaching awards and is the author or co-author of 11 books and numerous articles for professional journals. An attorney, he has worked both in public law and private practice.

Hall earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, his law degree from Washburn University and a doctorate of education from the University of Central Florida.

Hall succeeds Jack Rhodes, who retired as executive director in June of 2002. Currently, Lee Sanders is serving as acting executive director.
