Individuals Making Personal and
Academic Contributions (IMPAC) recognizes individuals
and organizations that have made a difference
in the lives of minority students. Outstanding
achievement and graduation minority students are
also honored at the annual ceremony.
This program matches students with
administrators, faculty, staff and community leaders
in an effort to recruit and retain all students.
Mentors and protégés are matched
on the basis of gender, culture, academic major
and professional goals.
This program assists freshmen and
new students of color with their academic and
social adjustment to Miami University Hamilton,
facilitating the transition to university life.
Peer Counseling also functions as a link between
students, staff, administrators, and various offices
on campus, providing information and referrals,
academic counseling and information about many
cultural and social activities.
