Programs

IMPAC awards ceremony

Individuals Making Personal and Academic Contributions (IMPAC) recognizes individuals and organizations that have made a difference in the lives of minority students. Outstanding achievement and graduation minority students are also honored at the annual ceremony.

Mentoring program

This program matches students with administrators, faculty, staff and community leaders in an effort to recruit and retain all students. Mentors and protégés are matched on the basis of gender, culture, academic major and professional goals.

Peer counseling

This program assists freshmen and new students of color with their academic and social adjustment to Miami University Hamilton, facilitating the transition to university life. Peer Counseling also functions as a link between students, staff, administrators, and various offices on campus, providing information and referrals, academic counseling and information about many cultural and social activities.

Student academic alert system

This program is designed to monitor and assess the academic progress of minority freshman. Early intervention increases the chance of academic success and student retention at the post secondary level.
