Cultural Activities
In an effort to recognize the many contributions
made by people of color, the Miami Hamilton Community
participates in many activities throughout the year.
During the academic year, the office of Multicultural
Services welcomes students, faculty, staff and the
community to the Diversity Film Festivals (PDF) . We provide the wider community with the opportunity to view films
on various multicultural topics, at least six times per semester. Even the youngest members
of our campus community—the toddlers and preschoolers
of Campus Kids—participate in educational,
fun events.
The Office of Multicultural Services frequently
welcomes guest lecturers from the departments of
Anthropology, Black World Studies and Spanish & Portuguese. We provide several outreach activities within the wider community.
Student organizations such as, the Association of Latino and American Students (ALAS) and the Minority Action Committee (MAC) provide additional multicultural
opportunities for our students.
