Read any good books this summer? Rentschler Library wants to know about it. We have created a display titled “Dive into a Good Book.” Write up a brief (1 or two sentences) summary or review of what you’re reading this summer and we’ll post it on our display. Library staff will be participating, too. Not sure what to read? Rentschler Library has a collection of popular reading materials, called the McNaughton Collection. Currently, it includes books by Lisa Scottoline, Jane Fonda, James Patterson, David Sheff, Daniel Tammett, and Patricia Cornwell. Come by and check it out!

Rentschler Library is now offering laptops for 3 hour checkout. The laptops are wireless Internet ready and loaded with the Office 2007 software you need to type up papers, prepare presentations and work with spreadsheets. You will also be able to send print jobs to any of the laser printers in the library.

Here’s how it works: stop by the library’s circulation desk and fill out a laptop loan agreement form. We’ll keep the form on file for an academic year and each time you come in, you need only show your Miami I.D. A big thanks to Computing Services staff for preparing these laptops for checkout!
