Welcome to the Hamilton Honors Program
The Hamilton Honors Program (HHP) is a supportive, educationally and culturally diverse community of faculty and student scholars in which students achieve excellence in academics, research, service and individual development, leading to professional success and personal fulfillment.
HHP courses tend to be interdisciplinary and intellectually challenging. Thus, HHP courses integrate knowledge and perspectives from a wide range of subjects, question the assumptions of particular disciplines, and consider concepts from many points of view.
Honors faculty members encourage students to think critically, broadly, openly, and creatively. HHP courses complement and advance the goals of all academic disciplines in which Honors students major.
Learning is achieved through small-classroom environments, high-quality teaching, exposure to a wide variety of instructional media (including the Internet, seminars, colloquia), and active student participation. Thus, the Hamilton Honors Program provides an environment in which students develop their skills, cultivate their talents, and achieve their highest academic and personal goals.
