Melvin Levett - Head Coach
Melvin is in his second year as the Harrier head coach. His coaching career consists of three years as a head coach at Talawanda Middle School and the past two years were spent as an assistant coach for Miami University's Middletown campus. Coach Levett also runs Mad Hooper Athletics, an AAU basketball organization as well as works many youth camps in the summer.
He attended the University of Cincinnati on a basketball scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor degree in Liberal Arts and Social Science. After completing his college playing career with the Bearcats, he was drafted in the 1999 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. Melvin spent time playing for the Harlem Golbetrotters, professionally overseas and for several minor leagues in the United States including the ABA, IBA, and IBL. |
