Sharing Memories of Richard J. Fitton

Richard J. Fitton

grey bullet  Poem: That Man is a Success...

I feel honored and humbled to have been asked to write a few words on behalf of my boss for six years, and a dear, dear, friend for over twenty years.

To me, Dick possessed every quality, barring none, to become the leader that he was. The list of his civic activities is endless. He always wanted to be involved. His dynamic personality and his "go power" made you want to do well in the position you were hired for. You were a part of the First National Bank family.

Dick loved people. He welcomed his customers with a smile and a handshake. More than once he would be in the middle of dictation and would see someone on the bank floor that he wanted to say hello to, he would excuse himself long enough to say hello. He made First National Bank what it is today. Those of us who were fortunate enough
to work with him will always remember “Dick Fitton” as our great leader.

To Rebecca, Jim, Tom, Sam, and their families, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
