Scholarship Opportunities for Hamilton Campus Students

The Bridge to Oxford Scholarship Program is intended to help students on Miami's regional campuses bridge the gap between regional campus tuition cost and Oxford tuition cost.

The Bridge to Oxford Scholarship is available to outstanding regional campus students who have earned a minimum of 45 credit hours. Download the Bridge to Oxford Scholarship application form from the Student Financial Aid page on Miami Oxford website.

Bridge to Oxford Scholarship Deadlines
Fall semester 2008, application due April 1, 2008, notifications sent in May.
Spring semester 2009, application due November 3, 2008, notifications sent in December.


The Miami Access Initiative is a scholarship program for Ohio residents designed to help make Miami University accessible to all academically qualified students regardless of income. Learn more about this scholarship opportunity.


Harry T. Wilks Scholarship is a renewable scholarship that offers students tuition, fees and books while the student is enrolled full time.


Hamilton Campus Scholars Leader Program includes The Nancy Sohngen Cottrell Scholar Leader Award and the Richard Fitton Scholar Leader Award for current students who demonstrate active leadership at the University and in the community.


Nursing Departmental Awards are for students currently enrolled in the Nursing program or officially accepted to the program for the next academic school year. (Note: Application form is available from Department of Nursing.)


Business Technology Departmental Awards are for students enrolled in a Business Technology program or officially accepted to the program for the next academic school year. (Note: Application form is available from Department of Business Technology.)


Peabody Scholarships are for full-time sophomores and above. Applicants for the Helen Peabody Scholarship or the Fritzi Mueller Beckett Scholarship must be 25 years or older with financial need and minimum 3.0 GPA.


The Hamilton Campus Community Award is targeted to under-represented groups on campus who demonstrate need, and who have a 2.0 high school GPA or 2.0 university GPA.


Nancy Sohngen Cottrel Award, student should show documented leadership on campus and in community. Must have 12 credit hours prior to award with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA and enrolled at least ½ time. Selection requires subsequent participation in leadership training program.


Richard Fitton Award, student should show documented leadership on campus and in community. Must have 12 credit hours prior to award with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA and enrolled at least ½ time. Selection requires subsequent participation in leadership training program.


US Bancorp Scholarship, student must be of ethnic minority living in low or moderate income household. Must be a graduate of a Butler County (OH) high school with a minimum 2.5 high school GPA, or 1000 SAT or 21 ACT score. Must register for at least 9 hours at the Hamilton Campus.


Dr. Edward Kezur Financial Aid Fund, student must be of ethnic minority showing need. Should have a minimum of 12 hours earned prior to the award, a minimum 3.00 GPA and enrolled at least half time.


Dr. Howard & Connie Rickert-Epstein Financial Aid Fund, student must be single mother showing need. Must have a minimum of 12 earned credit hours prior to award, minimum 3.00 GPA, and enrolled at least half time.


Dr. Edward Kezur Nursing Scholarship, student must be officially enrolled in the ASN or BSN Nursing Programs and show need. Must have a minimum 3.00 GPA and 12 hours earned prior to award. Must be enrolled at least half time and must be taking all classes at the Hamilton campus during the terms of the scholarship.


David & Nancy Stroupe Nursing Award, student must be officially enrolled in the ADN or BSN Nursing Programs (ADN preferred) and show need. Must have a minimum 3.00 GPA and 12 hours earned prior to award. Must be enrolled full-time in nursing courses and must be taking all classes at the Hamilton campus during the terms of the scholarship.


First National Bank of SWO Community Scholarship, student must be a resident of Butler, Warren or Preble County showing need. Must have a minimum 2.5 high school GPA or GED score of 55 or higher; or a minimum 2.5 Miami GPA Must be enrolled for at least half time at the Hamilton campus.


Bernard F. Phelps Scholarship, student must be a non-traditional student (age 25 & over) with a minimum half time enrollment, minimum of 8 credit hours prior to award and a 3.00 or higher GPA.


O'Tucks Scholarship, student must have Appalachian heritage and show need.


Harriet V. Taylor Award, student must have 3.00 GPA, minimum of 12 hours earned prior to award and show need.


John A. Shafer Scholarship, student must show need and be enrolled full-time.


Student Government Association Annual Leadership Scholarship, student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, enrolled at least half time and show active leadership on the Hamilton Campus (cannot be SGA member at time of selection).


Adeline Zoller Scholarship, award based on merit.


Vaden and Grace Fitton Scholarship, award based on merit.


Miami University Hamilton Foundation Scholarship, student must show need. Can be enrolled full or halt-time.


Huntington V. Parrish Scholarship, student must be an entering freshman with need, show community involvement and have a high GPA.


Cornelia Skinner Bronson Scholarship, student must be an entering freshman with need, show community involvement and have a high GPA.


The Karen S. House Scholarship, student must be an Education major with a minimum 3.0 GPA or ACT score of at least 24 or SAT score of at least 1100.


Carl and Fred E. Jennewein Memorial Scholarship, student must be entering freshman with minimum high school GPA of 3.00, ACT score of 21 or better or SAT score of 1000 or better. Student must be enrolled with a minimum of 6 hours at the Hamilton campus. Scholarship may be renewed with 3.00 GPA after completion of 12 hours at Miami Hamilton.


Tech Prep Scholarship, student must have graduated from a high school Tech Prep program with at least a 2.5 high school GPA and will be pursuing a corresponding university technical program. Student must be enrolled at least half time. Scholarship is renewable with 2.5 Miami GPA and application.
