Audiovisual Services

Note: Only faculty and staff may request audiovisual services. All requests for student use of audiovisual equipment must come through the instructor.

Information for faculty requesting audiovisual (AV) services

The AV technology available in the classrooms varies from room to room.

Each classroom will have an overhead projector and screen, and most rooms have a mounted TV/DVD/VHS VCR for video playback. To make sure you have the equipment you need, please submit a request by calling the Help Desk at 785.3279 or use the online reservation form on this website.

You must give at least 24 hour notice for all equipment requests. Any requests made with less than 24 hours notice will be accommodated whenever possible, but cannot be guaranteed.

Equipment will be delivered to your room prior to the start of your class. AV Services recommends that if you need specific AV equipment for your class, you submit your request as early as possible.

If you need instruction on any type of equipment, please let AV Services know and a time will be scheduled demonstrate its use.

View a list of available audiovisual equipment.

Reserve AV equipment online.

How faculty can help AV Services provide the best service for all AV users

Do not move equipment from one room to another
Equipment not reserved for a specific class should be relocated by AV personnel only, and may change rooms daily depending on demand.

Do not disconnect or remove cables
AV cables must be properly connected for projection and sound. If you need to attach a laptop to the PC Media cart, please notify the Help Desk when you make your request and we will provide the additional cables required.

Notify AV Services when items do not work or supplies are required
To ensure each room contains a working overhead projector, please call the Help Desk if the overhead needs a lamp replaced.  Clean acetate rolls are available in the faculty secretary’s office (MOS 532), the Help Desk (MOS 304), Jim Watson's office (MOS 306) and in the copy room in University Hall.
