The Miami Hamilton Artist Series has brought top class musicians to the Miami Hamilton campus for more than 20 years. Artists for the 2009-2010 series include Grammy-winner Béla Fleck and The John Cowan Band.
From celtic to cajun, bluegrass to "newgrass," the music of Ladysmith Black Mambazo to that of Los Lobos and everything in between, the Artist Series continues to deliver quality musical acts to the Hamilton community. Photo above: The Del McCoury Band at Parrish Auditorium.

The Michael J. Colligan History Project is a joint undertaking of the Colligan Fund Committee of the Hamilton Community Foundation and the Hamilton Campus of Miami University. It is made possible by the generous bequest of Michael J. Colligan, a prominent local businessman and amateur historian.
The principal goal of the Project is to make the appreciation and study of history accessible and enriching for all members of the university, local schools, and the community at large.
In addition to sponsoring lectures and collaborating with community groups to provide programming, the Project confers two outstanding annual awards. The first, The John E. Dolibois History Prize, is given for substantial and sustained efforts to promote the teaching of and learning about history in the community and throughout the nation. The prize is named for Ambassador John E. Dolibois, interrogator during the Nuremberg Trials and former Vice President of Miami University. Prize recipients have included Pulitzer Prize-Winner Laurel Thatcher Ulrich and distinguished historians Douglas Brinkley and Allen Guelzo.
The second annual award, The Jim Blount History Educator Award, recognizes outstanding teachers of history in schools in Butler, Hamilton and Warren counties. The award is named for local journalist, editor, historian, and teacher Jim Blount.
