The Michael J. Colligan Project

Vision

The Michael J. Colligan History Project is a joint undertaking of the Colligan Fund Committee of the Hamilton Community Foundation and the Hamilton Campus of Miami University. It is made possible by the generous bequest of Michael J. Colligan, a prominent local businessman and amateur historian.

The principal goal of the Project is to make the appreciation and study of history accessible and enriching for all members of the university, the schools, and the community at large. To that end, the Project offers a wide variety of programs, series, projects, and symposia that present a broad and diverse perspective on the people and events of the past. Our approach is collaborative; the Project solicits proposals and participation from a wide range of individuals, groups, and organizations in the Hamilton community.

The theme of the Project for 2007-08 is "History's Movers & Shakers. "
