Leave early in the morning for Beijing, the capital of China and center of Chinese government.


Mon., March 31, 2008

Arrive during the evening at Beijing International Airport. 

Tentative airline and route choices: United or American Airlines.

Thurs., April 3, 2008, PM

Leave Beijing for Shenyang, Liaoning Province, by soft berth train early in the evening

April 1, AM— Meet with U.S. Department of Commerce and be briefed on doing business in China.

April 1, PM—Tour China strategic partner based on research done before the trip.

April 2, AM—Meet with high-level officials from State Council and some specific professional association(s), e.g., Chinese Automobile association if the delegates are in the auto industry.

April 2,  PM—Meet with a law firm to discuss IP protection.

April 3, AM—Meet with American Chamber of Commerce .

April 3, PM—Depart for Shenyang.
Shenyang

Shenyang, is a city with a traditional industrial base that has an economy very similar to Ohio.

Sunday, April 6, 2008, PM

Leave for Shanghai by air.

April 4, AM—Meet with Shenyang Special Economic Zone officials.

April 4, PM—Discuss with Shenyang Industrial Equipment Import and Export Corp.

April 5, all day —Tour Shenyang Manufacturers.

April 6, AM—Follow up with leads.

April 6, PM—Depart for Shanghai.

Shanghai

Shanghai is  the center of Chinese economic development and the fastest growing city in the world.

Its neighboring cities also represent many business opportunities for Ohio businesses.

The delegates will work with China CEO Association, Shanghai SME association and Ohio China Office to explore these business opportunities.

Sun., April 13—Depart China for U.S.

April 7, AM— Meet with high-level  Shanghai Municipality government officials.

April 7, PM—Meet with Ohio State China office in Shanghai.

April 8, all day—Forums with Shanghai SMEs organized by Shanghai Business Promotion Association for Small and Medium Businesses.

April 9, PM—Meeting with Chamber of Commerce in the neighboring cities of  Shanghai and its members to explore business opportunities.

April 10—One-on-one meetings with Shanghai SMEs  and follow up with leads generated organized by China CEO Association.

April 11—Sightseeing trip, Yu Garden.

April 12—Shopping in Shanghai.

April 13—Depart China for U.S.
