Field Trips and Scholarships

Participants will travel to former plantations in Kentucky, to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, and to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in Springfield, Illinois. They will be given digital cameras to record their experiences and will then share their experiences and thoughts on the Internet through podcasts and blogs.

The two week camp, field trips, and camera are free to all participants. All participants who successfully complete the camp will also receive a $500 scholarship to the college of their choice.
