Dwayne Terry is the current Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball Team for the Miami University Hamilton Harriers. Coach Terry is entering his 3rd season leading the Harriers. Coach Terry hopes to bring winning basketball to MUH and assure that his players get a quality education and graduate from college.
Coach Terry was the New Miami Girl’s Head Basketball coach for 6 years. During his career at New Miami, he led the girls to their first MVC Championship in 24 years. In his last 3 years at New Miami High School, he led the girls to 33 wins and was voted MVC Coach of the Year for the 2008-2009 basketball season. He was the Assistant Basketball Coach at Middletown Christian High School in 2009-2010 season. Coach Terry was a volunteer Men’s Assistant Basketball coach at Miami University Hamilton campus during the 2001-2002 season and was the paid Men’s Basketball Assistant for the 2002-2003 season.
Dwayne Terry attended Ohio University from 1984 to 1986. He was a member of the O.U. Football Team. Coach Terry is also a veteran of the United States Army; his years of service ran from 1986 through 1990.
He received an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Technology at Sinclair Community College. He is currently employed as a Shift Supervisor at the Butler County Juvenile Rehabilitation Center. He also works as a Trainer at the Atrium YMCA in Middletown.
Dwayne has been married for 14 years to Jill and is a father of two daughters, Brittany and Jayla Terry. He is also the proud grandfather of Myles Terry, age 4.
