Welcome to the Office of Academic Advising and Retention web pages at Miami University Hamilton.

I am the Director for the office and have been "in charge" (my secretary, Theresa Troutman is the one who really runs the office) since 1993. Prior to 1993, I spent 2 years on the Oxford campus managing a first year resident hall. I am from Lincoln Nebraska and have an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Masters degree in Human Resources, both from Purdue.

I hope you find this site helpful and informative. Academic Advising is critical to a positive college experience. I strongly encourage you use the advising office as you move toward your goals while at Miami Hamilton. If you have any questions or comments, send me an e-mail or stop in.

My name is Chris Bennett Klefeker, and I joined the Hamilton campus during the summer of 2003. I truly enjoy working with a variety of students.

Prior to coming to the regional campus I worked in Oxford for two years as a First Year Advisor. I earned both of my degrees (a bachelors in Social Work and a Masters in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education) from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I am originally from the Greater Cincinnati area and love being back in the area!

I have been with Miami Hamilton since 1968. I am the secretary for Office of Academic Advising and Retention Services. I've worked with Joe for the past several years. I continue to be informed about information to help our students. I also take classes and attend workshops/seminars to further my education and technical knowledge for today's world.
