Student Awards: Academics
Miami
University recognizes student academic achievement
in the following areas:
Parents' Association Certificate of
Merit Award
This award is designed to recognize currently
enrolled Miami University Undergraduate students
who have made valuable contributions in the
area of campus life, employee service, or community
service.
Dean's List
These students have completed at least 12 credit
hours in a given semester for a letter grade
and have earned a semester Grade Point Average
(GPA) of 3.50-3.99.
Campus Dean's List
These students have earned a total of 12 or
more semester hours on the Hamilton campus, and in a given semester
have taken fewer than 12 credit hours and earned
a 3.50 or better cumulative and term GPA.
President's List
These students have completed at least 12 credit
hours in a given semester for a letter grade
and have earned a semester GPA of 4.00.
Student Scholar Awards
These students have been nominated by faculty
to participate in the Student Scholar Symposium,
a public forum to share the process and result
of outstanding academic success with the campus
and community.
Departmental Awards
The Departmental Award winners are chosen by
individual faculty member for outstanding performance
within a given subject area.
