Freshman Undergraduate Students and Transfer Students

NOTE: Do not apply to more than one campus of Miami University.  If you have previously applied to either the Oxford or Middletown campus, please contact the Admission Office at 513.785.3111.

NOTE: If you have previously completed courses as a degree-seeking student at Miami University, submit an application for re-enrollment.

 

If you will enroll as a freshman undergraduate or as a transfer student, you have two choices:

• Online application (The $35 fee required to apply online is non-refundable.)
  

OR

• Download, print and complete the Freshman Undergraduate Application (PDF) or the Transfer Application (PDF). You may mail your form to the address below, or stop by the Office of Admission and hand it in in person.

Unclassified or Transient Students

If you will enroll as an unclassified or transient student, do the following:

• Download and print a PDF copy of the Unclassified Application (PDF) or the Transient Application (PDF).
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Read the process for non-online applications below.

Note: Applicants may apply to only one Miami University campus. In addition, applications are term specific. If you wish to change campuses after initial application or change your entry term, call the Office of Admission at 513.785.3111.

Process for non-online applications

Step 1: Download, complete and sign the Miami Hamilton Application for Admission

Step 2: Mail the Application for Admission with a check or money order for the application fee, payable to Miami University, to:

Hamilton, Ohio 45011-3399

Step 3: Have your ACT or SAT scores sent directly from the testing agency. (NOTE: If you have been out of high school two years, or are a non-degree student, you do not have to submit these scores.)

Step 4: Have your High School Record(s) and College Transcript(s) from all prior college work sent directly from the institution(s) to Miami Hamilton.

GED transcripts must be sent from the state Department of Education.

Home-schooled or alternatively-educated students must present official GED transcripts or other credentials which demonstrate levels of academic achievement, ability, and performance equivalent to that of a state charted diploma.
